The Bob Bendick Podcast

Think 'Inside the Actors Studio' but funny (and without FCC restrictions on content).

The podcast is a one-hour interview chat show recorded at ACME Comedy Theatre. With Q&A via Twitter and Email. The show is then posted on iTunes for download.

Focusing on the educational benefit for students and others who are aspiring actors, writers, directors etc, The Bob Bendick Podcast will allow us to hear the journey of how the professional “made it”.  What hoops did they jump through? How did they handle various challenges? What worked for them and what didn’t. With a primary concentration on comedic actors, we will interview all types of entertainment professionals.

Bob Bendick

Bob is a native Angeleno, raised in the San Fernando Valley. He is quite short, yet funny. Bob is actually the one who wrote this, though he refers to myself in the third person. Bob’s done improv, sketch and stand up as well acting into cameras. He is a father of a son named Jack and an ex-husband of a woman named Whatever. Bob’s full first name is Robert and for no reason told his friends in elementary school it was spelled Roebberrtte.

Bob began The Bob Bendick Podcast in September of 2009.

Alan Heitz

Cohort to Bob on the show, Alan is the tall one standing a towering 175.26cm. He originally hails from the Washington D.C. area and now hails from the side of the stage during the show and takes all your Skype, Twitter and Email questions. He also is painfully funny.

ACME Comedy Theatre

Founded in 1989, ACME is a premier 99 seat Hollywood venue featuring a classic performance space with modern multimedia production facilities.  It is home to four sketch and improv performance companies whose members and alumni have been entertaining audiences every weekend for nearly two decades and who have appeared in hundreds of films, sitcoms and commercials.

Karina Bustilllos

Originally from El Paso Texas and graduate of UTA with a degree in Film, she is a member of Acme Comedy Theater and loves...a lot of things.

Michael Schuster

Michael Schuster takes pride in being born and raised in Los Angeles, going to college in San Francisco, moving back to LA in order to become a writer and actor, performing sketch comedy at Acme Comedy Theater, and (most of all) in being a mensch.
